Meat Loaf 2 lb ground beef, lean; or extra lean 1/2 cup onions; finely chopped 1 cup bread crumbs; or cracker crumbs 2 large eggs 3/4 10 oz can beef consomme soup; or bouillon & water 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon parsley 1 teaspoon sage 1 teaspoon thyme 1/4 teaspoon pepper ----TOPPING---- 3 tablespoon sugar (brown) 4 tablespoon ketchup 1 teaspoon mustard, dry Mix all the meat loaf ingredients together. Pack into a 5x9" loaf pan. Bake at 325°F for 1¼ hours. Remove from the oven, turn out of the pan, and place on an ovenproof serving dish. Mix the topping ingredients.
